The gun looks like that and you didn't lose a finger or more? Were you wearing gloves? I've never had a firearm explode on me, that is scary. Hope I just didn't jinx myself.

The rear of the slide is gone, that's what really freaks me out. ....it can only go upwards
Half of the optic base is missing also.

I wouldn't wish it on anybody. I didn't have a glove and my thumb and my palm by my pointer finger got the worst of it. I picked out several plastic pieces. Far from my heart and it will heal.
