the smell of the sheaths

The sheaths on both of my antelope have a prety strong smell. I have scrubbed them inside and out with soap then dumped Borax in them for about a week. They still have enough smell that the lady (a.k.a. the boss) wont let me bring them in the house, and I cant say I blame her! Any thoughts/suggestions

That's exactly what I do with mine. They shouldn't stink for too long.
