Went on an Alaskan cruise earlier this summer. Can't remember if it was Ketchikan or Juneau that we were glassing up mountain goats on the way out to sea. Probably glassed close to a dozen and a half.

Based on the comment “what are you doing, it’s August 12?”, my guess is it was not rifle season. And the fact the guide walked up to the dead goat, I’m guessing there’s also wanton waste on top of that.
