MT PP question

When I checked my MT points this morning I got confused on the preference points I've accumulated. It shows the bonus points I have for each species, 2 BP elk, 1 BP deer, but the PP just shows 2 without any specific species. Are the preference points across all species?

Preference points are for NR licenses. Bonus points are for permits for specific animals/hunting districts.

So if I want to keep accumulating elk BP but put in for general deer combo this year, it burns all my PP?

I believe that’s correct if you drew the general deer combo you’d burn your PP. You’d then have to purchase an elk BP over the summer.

You can only keep 3pp anyway and if you don't use them or add to them (which after 3 you can't add) for 2 seasons they are all gone.
