I would recommend against it and see if you can find a blunderbuss somewhere. You can use anything lying around for projectiles, so you can #keephammering, even with our current supply chain woes.
Another benefit is that there's great potential of errant, gravel, rusty nails, etc to wound multiple animals as you flock shoot them from your snowmobile, slowing down several targets for you to pick which one to finish off. Wounding extra animals and giving them tetanus will help get these montana mountain rat populations below objective.
