What is the most unique/unusual material have you tied flies with?
When I was about 12 or 13 my brother and I needed blond hair for a particular pattern it seemed like a stroke of luck that l was blond back then, my brother sniped several bunches out of my hair and we happily went about our tying, we then compounded our errors by testing our flies in our moms fish tank. To say that our mom was mad would be gross understatement.

Sheridan Anderson’s “Curtis Creek Manifesto” suggests that a fly tyer should always date/marry a blondie.
