Does anyone here have a rifle with a mesquite stock? Seen one years ago at a little hole-in-the-wall gun shop up in Fairbanks Alaska. Was probably the prettiest piece of wood I've ever seen on an ugly rifle. They also had an original Sharps rifle in excellent shape as well as a Model 94 "straight up eject" that had never been loaded, much less fired. The 94 was what i could afford on PFC pay so it came back to Montana with me and was finally sold at Shedhorn Sports some years ago.
