I am going to be in Southwest MT the first week of November and unfortunately I didn’t draw a deer or elk tag this year.

I was thinking of getting into some upland while we are there as we will be traveling with our GSP, and was wondering if it would be worth trying to get a bear tag?

Is November too late for something like that?

There should still be bears out in many areas in early November. I would say it depends on how much time you are going to dedicate to the hunt. If you just want to take a day or two then I’d probably save the money and enjoy a couple hikes.

Yeah we will be there for 10 days and I could probably only devote 3 days to something like it.

Might just stick with hikes and upland with the dog

I'd stick with birds or do some streamer fishing for spawning browns. Finding a bear in Nov. in that country is going to be pretty random and not a high odds proposition.

Thanks Gerald!

I think that would make the dog happier anyways, lol
