Milk River Velvet Bucks-Very Sad

I saw two does in McDonald Creek north of Grass Range. I assumed they were car collisions but I'm starting to suspect otherwise after reading updates on this thread. Sad Days!
 
What a crappy deal for the deer. Nowhere to hide from this. I have never heard of it or seen it up in Alberta here. Surprised as Montan is not too far from home here in Edmonton. i would have thought Southern Alberta would have had it in the past but again I have never heard of it. Hopefully it is not as bad as we think.
 
sorry too hear that, I grew up in NE Montana, I used too see 200 pheasants a day and probably the same number in deer, the last 3-4 years just have been terrible in that area, the last good pheasant year was 07' I believe and now the deer heard has taken a big hit from the past 2 winters and now this, just something too shake my head at, hopefully the game will come back in the near future...
