Lever Monday...post em up

Have the 45-70 Marlin dialed in for an upcoming hog hunt in Oklahoma:

Am anticipating shorter range shots so I zeroed at a mere 50 yards with handloaded 350 grain Hornady RNSP bullets.

Ya, that's only a 50 yard target, but I'm pleased.

Regards, Guy

Range day yesterday.
160 FTX and Leverevolution powder, handloads.
Getting all the “tweaks” settled and a chance out to two hundred.
Bottom shot is with the top of the target resting on the bead, and the top two are with the bead resting on the top of the target.
I’m averaging around 2355 FPS with this recipe and the results are very good for me.

I have a couple whitney kennedy's in 44 40 that are both working and firing rifles. And a whitney burgess large frame that I am in the process of restoring. I will try and get some pics up today! In the meantime is there anyone else that has any parts or schematics for a large frame? Im missing some pieces and would like make this rifle at the very least cycle correctly.

Whitney Kennedys were all the same frame size. I’m not sure why people call them large and small, as they are the same.

I have a Whitney Kennedy SRC in 45-60. They are fairly scarce…

Possibly on the Kennedy's but I assure you that the Whitney Burgess there is 2 different sized frames.

Whitney Kennedy is what I mentioned, they were the same size frame

In terms of mechanical pictures, here a few from Maxwells Book on Lever actions. There are many more in his book…
