As I scroll through the forum from time to time…it’s full of politics…while entertaining to read sometimes….lets jump back to guns….

So I had two cool things happen recently. I finally had a good draw as a Wyoming resident after 5 years of hunting general and drawing nothing….

And I got contacted to test a new gun! If the screen name doesn’t help with telling you what I do…..there are those political threads you can read🤣

Spohr of Germany sent over their new 44 for me to test….and man does it shoot.

Looking forward to fall….like a kid waiting on Christmas.

Competition season will wrap up mid August for me, and then I will dive in to practicing with the hunting guns a whole lot more.

Spohr revolvers are what I compete with and they perform quite well. A huge step up from a S&W with them being 100% machined from bar stock.

Looks awesome

What’s up with the cylinder being 2 pieces? I don’t know if I have ever seen that.

What’s the trigger like? Can you compare it to a Korth?
Korth and Spohr are in the same level of quality.

Where Spohr beats them for me is the fact they take S&W optics bases.

The rest is personal preference. I like the balance of the Spohr better.

Looks sweet. Thanks for sharing. Can you buy these in the US? If so where and about how much? I did a quick google search and didn’t see any online retailers listing them.

Can you put a trigger pull gauge on the Double Action pull? What’s it read?

Yes you can get them in the USA….im in the USA🤣
Well I couldn’t find any retailers from google search and there isn’t a single listing for one on GunBroker, compared to 169 listings for Korth. I thought maybe you got one since maybe you are sponsored. I remember going to IWA in Nuremberg back in 2023 and seeing numerous firearm manufacturers that simply don’t export into the US which I was surprised to learn, thought maybe this was one of them. Do you just inquire and order direct or where do you get them in the US? My understanding is US citizens can’t purchase firearms and import them as I looked into purchasing an Antker Arms rifle and a certain Sako model from Canada several years back.

You go on the spohrguns.com website and fill out the form. MMBI (importer) will collect payment and send your gun.

Unlike Korth….spohr can’t keep up and they are sold before they even make it here.

We get good size shipments into the USA every month.

Thanks. Good to know, that makes sense.
