The recent public land sales provision proposed by Mike Lee drew a ton of attention. It made a lot of Senators and Congressmen show that they are willing to go against party lines and oppose the sale. It also showed the true colors of others. Now that this chapter is behind us, we should thank those that stood up for our public lands. Let's start a list of politicians that deserve praise for their recent actions so that we makes sure everyone involved gets the thanks they deserve. Who are you thanking in the upcoming week?

All of my elected officials are on the shit list from this by the way.

I do plan to send emails to NM and MT this week. Most likely others as I look into their part in all this.

Yep, those Mississippi legislators need to get on board. As we both know, a huge chunk of the population down there uses the local national forests. Not to mention everyone who goes out west to hunt.

Those welfare woods sure are popular in turkey season. I think turkey hunters in Mississippi would start dragging representatives through the streets if you started selling off Bienville or Homochitto. They don't understand that a big segment of their constituents feel the same about Rio Grande, or Pike, or Beaverhead, or Thunder Basin.

What is the status of RMEF's P.A.C.???

Mid-terms are right around the corner. Lee is not up until 2028, but there are plenty of members of congress who we're going along with and/or helping with this betrayal.

Yes thankfully some Senators and Representatives listened to their constituents and stood up.....but unfortunately foresee that many of these will be voting for this Big Bad Bill that also removes many protections from our public lands and waters. Almost like this was a ruse to let a bunch of steps slide by we would be upset about if they weren't overshadowed by the land sale issue.

Joe Rogan is claiming victory. I didn’t see much support from Joe other than reposting Cam Hanes posts but having Joe on our side is great.

Cam Hanes stepped up hard. He’s keeping the other gate open for us. 😎
