Laura Clellan, the current acting director, was selected as the sole finalist for the position of Colorado Parks and Wildlife Director. She has been the acting Director after Jeff Davis was forced to resign by the Polis administration.

I believe she has no background or personal experience with hunting and fishing, never held a license. Retired as the Colorado National Guard Adjutant General. Worked in Human Resources with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services.

Word on the street is that she was by far the least worst of the 4 final candidates. I can only imagine some of the crazy anti-hunting activists that Polis-Reis, DNR Director Spineless Dan Gibbs, and the anti-hunting commission would have submitted. More to follow, just gotta hold on for 10 months……

Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission and DNR Announce Laura Clellan as Sole Finalist for Colorado Parks and Wildlife Director | Department of Natural Resources

(Denver) — The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission and Executive Director Dan Gibbs have chosen Laura Clellan as the sole finalist for the position of CPW Director. Per statute, the public notice of the sole finalist will be posted for 14 days.

I participated in the stakeholder panel that interviewed the 5 finalists for the position, before the position was relisted and Clellan applied. Of the 5 we interviewed, I felt like one candidate was well-qualified to lead the agency. It is perhaps for the best for that person that they were not selected to fill a position that might very well turn over as soon as a new Governor is elected this fall. Clellan will probably serve adequately in the interim. The lame duck Governor situation likely kept the best applicants from applying.

Don't PM me. ;)
