Late season surprise

-20c with the wind but we put down 17 geese and the one cackler we shot happened to be banded. Shot a lot of waterfowl over the last 15 year and this is the first band I have ever seen in my life! Duke has fetched 1300-1400 birds in his 8 seasons alone and granted not all geese but still never a band

Congrats on your birds and the band. I was fortunate when I was younger and done some waterfowl hunting to have gotten a few bands myself. I got a couple banded snow geese, a banded Canadian and a couple banded wood ducks. Always enjoyed sending the info and seeing where they were banded.
