Kodiak deer hunt on the road

Anyone have any info on doing a road system hunt on Kodiak for deer. I've a leftover caribou tag and can get a flight for $10. Is it worth going?

For ten bucks I'd say go for it. Get to kodiak, rent a car, and go for it. Pretty country, fun hunt. Worth going for ten dolllars.

Not much for deer on the road system. Mid September is great silver fishing though and you may be able to connect on a buck if you do some hiking. Last winter was pretty mild so there are a number of forks and spikes to be had, but the older bucks are few and far between. Lots of deer and older bucks on the southend this year I hear, may not be a bad idea to spend a little extra money for a drop off down there.
