I am not a bear guy, so I don't know. I think this is the one I saw turkey hunting in the same spot and I thought it looked big so I put my camera out on my mineral lick. checked it this weekend and 2 different bears, 4 hours apart. This is just a guess, but I wonder if the first bear is a small sow, and the second is a boar tracking her, it is breeding season is it not??
but that second one. just looks like a big pig for a spring bear. any guesses what something like that would go as far as weight and length?

First "big" is in relation to the state where they live...big here might not be big there.

But...that bottom pic looks like a shooter...imo...in Wisconsin. ;)

Length...? Weight...275-300

All i know is that this is a spring bear, so the thing must look something like a wood tick that fell off a dog come fall.

Yep...you need to get a bear tag this fall!

Does Wi. have a fall bear season?

Or you could let Alexis come up and whack it for you! :D

That bottom bear is a monster Schmalts. For him to be that big in the spring, is amazing. What he would weigh in the fall is anyone's guess, but I bet he would be pushing 400 live weight.

Keep him alive for another year, and get a tag for next year.

We only have fall tags, and it takes about 5 years to get enough points to draw in my unit. Gotta love WI, NOT!
I only put in for points for this fall. Had I seen this thing i would have tried for a tag
