I hope you like them! I just took my first hike in my new Meindl Alaskan Hunters Friday, they seem like a pretty good boot. I couldn't decide between them and the Perfekt models for a long time.

I tried the AHs on (they had my size) but wanted the additional height and insulation. They did seem well put together though.....we can compare notes!!!

I have a pair of Meindls that I got from Cabelas. I can't remember what model they are for sure, but I've put many miles on them and they are still comfortable. The leak now, but they are nearly 5 years old so they have been a good value for the (I think) $260 I spent on them when I got them.

Finally bit and ordered a pair of Perfekt Extremes. It ought to be interesting wearing them around in Vegas to break them in with temps still breaking 100.

No need to break them in. I've owed 2 pair of Meindl Perfekt Hunters and a pair of Denalis. Just put them on and go hunt. You'll see when you walk around the house.
