Anyone here have reccomendations on whitetails in Idaho I have been looking into planning a hunt for 2008 in either 10a or 8A .

I am not locked into any particluar area but was curious to get some opinions on Idaho Public land whitail hunting areas

There are so many whitetails in both of those areas that you can't go wrong. Choose an area with lots of logging roads and clearcuts and you'll do well. PM me if you'd like some specifics.

I have hunted 10 and after a week of driving around trying to find a place I could see further then 100 yds I gave up, it was terribly thick with lots of reprod where I was at, ended up in unit 18 on the breaks of the salmon which was more my style, more area to be able to glass.

Find a thick patck of cover in a draw and wait for the four wheelers to push the deer to you. Still hunting is about the only way to get on 'em up there. You can also find a logging road and walk it out REAL slow.

Good luck
