Idaho: Caribou/Targhee National Forest

I'm planning on NOT drawing a New Mexico tag this year so my backup adventure will be a pack in archery trip to Idaho. I know that all units to the south are pretty much OTC and I've been doing some poking around and it seems like the Caribou Targhee National Forest has some pretty decent roadless access. I'm wondering if anybody has ever hunted in there? Archery or rifle, I'd just like to know how it went. I'd really like some help on where I might get started on planning the hunt. The only drawback is that I won't be able to start my hunt until the 10th of September or so... might not be a bad thing.
