Was having a real nice [but hectic] day with my wife...finishing up our Christmas shopping... we stopped and had nice dinner....But on the way home this guy on a motorcycle screams passed us, on west van burean and about sarival rd.[west goodyear] its about dark and we get down the road and the guy had hit a truck head -on... what a mess!.. kinda took the spirit out of the season for now. dust, smoke, rubber smell, etc. just very very sad... i have never seen so many bad, in a hurry drivers out here.. its really getting terrible... i feel sorry for his family... and it looked like the person in the truck was hurt bad..saw on the news that the woman driving the truck is in critical condition...unbelievable how much damage that bike did to the truck... just a reminder "hunttalkers" DRIVE SAFE......not trying to preach just want you all to have a nice safe Christmas.

I guess some people just get in a big hurry to get nowhere. I remember how bad the traffic was in Phoenix when I lived there a while ago. One thing I learned is that you have to drive with the flow even if they are speeding or else you will cause more problems. People simply need to slow down and be thankful given the time of year!!

I saw one on the 202 last month. We have good weather and lots of bikes so it's an every week thing here. I been ridin' harleys my whole life and my bro-in-law calls em donor cycles. It's a risk you take and some lose the bet.

I'm glad to have moved out of the rat race of the coast, we just don't get as many of that type of accidents out here as we did in the West. It was every day out there.
I sure yope you get your cheer back and finish out the season on a happy note.
:)

I'm with Wiley! Go with the flow, no matter what. It just sucks that many Utards don't get that! |oo :BLEEP:

Go with the flow hell. Why should I risk my life to go faster than I should just because someone behind me doesn't like my speed. I feel that if they don't like the way I drive they can either pass me or get over it. There are times I speed but not very often anymore. Due to the idiots that are out there that can not seem to get enough of speeding as it is. They cut you off no matter how slow or fast you are going any how so whats the difference if you go with the flow or not. Either way you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. It's a no win, no win situation. I am not going to drive the same speed someone else does just because they are the ones in a hurry. I drive what I am comfortable at, if they don't like it then PASS ME and / or get over it.
:BLEEP: :MAD |oo

Oh i am getting over it already...just kinda a poor way to see the day end...when this guy blew by us...we both said what an idiot!.... I have ridden MC`s for years...while we didn`t see the accident happen we were only 1 min behind it ...turns out the guy was doing at least 80 when he hit the truck...witnesses said he was pulling wheelies at 80 to 90 mph. looks more like unintended suicide if there is such a thing...Sad thing is he put the truck driver in the hospital... who was totaly innocent.

Life's too short for things like this. I used to ride also, but it's just too dang dangerous out here, especially this time of year with all of the snowbirds about. It's dangerous enough in a car! I'm sorry you had to see that, CJCJ and it's very sad and unfortunate for that poor woman especially during the holidays. I hate to say it, but at least there is one more ahole off the road and I thank God that the women is alive. I'm glad that this Darwin example didn't take out a family.

Take care everyone and be safe!

My mom, dad and I were out in Lakewood today and we just happened to be AROUND the stupidity of another driver. The whole incident started by the Transit station when a moron driving a Pontiac Grand Am decides that we and the other cars are driving too slow and gets into the center turn lane to pass at least 5 cars. Now, the road we are on curves at about a 90* angle and just around the corner in the turn lane waiting to turn is a Jeep Cherokee type car waiting to turn, luckily the Pontiac idiot cut off another car (barely missing it) and didnt hit the Jeep. And the excitement is just starting. The traffic light up ahead is red so the Pontiac guy cuts through a parking lot (speeding) and pulls out in front of a Pierce Transit Ride Share bus without very much room at all. The light had turned green so my dad, mom and I were now on the same road as this guy again. We were in the opposite lane as him and were further up the road than him, near the Lakewoond Industrial Park. He is weaving in and out of traffic, passing cars with barely enough room for a Geo Metro to make it (and those cars are SMALL). Now he is coming up on my dad and in the lane next to us is a Daewoo. In an attempt to slow the guy down, my dad gets bumper to bumper with the Daewoo but backs off just a little bit, THE GUY CUTS US OFF!!! For those of you who dont know, my dad drives a Ford F250, slightly lifted with a wench bumper (like 1 foot wide) on the front... the guy didnt have room to get in at all and we almost hit him. A little further down the road he tries to get around a Dodge Ram, another Ford and I think a Chevy. The Ford and Dodge arent moving so the guy tries to drive BETWEEN them. He sort of succeeds because the Dodge backs off a little bit too. At the next stop light, the guy in the Dodge gets out to "confront" the idiot, I dont know what was said, but when the light turned green, the idiot drove through the Kmart parking lot, out onto another road and all the while he was being followed by the guy in the Dodge truck. I called 9-1-1 from our cell phone and reported him for wreckless driving, but I think that is an understatement. IF my dad didnt have good breaks, we would have hit him, and there would have been a couple of injured people, at least three cars would have been involved. I dont know if the Lakewood P.D. did anything about the guy, or if the guy in the Dodge was calling the police too, but I really hope so, this guy was INSANE, he could have really hurt or killed somebody. I mean this guy was seriously Nuts!!!
How is that for some lack of Holiday Spirit??

I wonder if he was practicing for an upcoming meeting with the show cops and had to make sure it looks good... ;)
I am glad you are all OK, that individual will certainly get his own later on. In that region one can count on it and pretty much guarantee it.....
I can travel all over the country and spend weeks and weeks doing it. Drive over Snoqualmie pass and see more in the next few hours than I did for the rest of the entire trip.
I know this because I have done it twice... :)

Seems everyone is in too much of a hurry and no regard for the damage or harm that can result. The worse the weather and road conditions get, the more idiots you see on the road.

Damn we had another one ! this morning i look out and see Helicopters flying all over hovering over the canal road and cotton lane[303] .. seems someone on a dirt bike collided with a truck...i guess the guy on the bike was D.O.A.... thats been 2 bikes and 2 trucks in less than a week... less than 1 mile apart...its getting bad.. we have alot of ATV`s and horses out here... last year some kid hit a horse on his quad....oh well like alot of you say ..everyone is in a hurry...
