This weekend at Laguna Seca was Rennsport Reunion 7. It was a mix of racing, history, car show and trade show.

My son is the car geek so I was happy to take him. Aside from all the cars inside the grounds/racing there was over 1,800 cars from PCA members that brought their private vehicles.

The highlight for me was the exhibition labs of the 963 (what Porsche will race at LeMans, 919 tribute, GT3-R Rennsport and GT4 E-Performance which made real life space ship sounds. These cars are at the forefront of development and racing. I can't appreciate the nuance, but they were just so impressive all to watch.

Laguna Seca is a great track. We used to go up to the Rolex historic races there every year, you'll never see so many cool cars in one place as you will in Monterey on that weekend!

Here are some pics from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart you might appreciate.

I’d rather cruise in style these days. This 356 was at a recent local car show.
My uncle Dave bought a brand new 356 SC in 1965, $9500. Silver.
Sad day when my aunt sold it 4 years ago. She got $150,000 and could have gotten more.
He taught me to use a stick in the studio parking lot. Then we would tool around LA a bit.

The replica cars of the 356 are spectacular. People outfit them with Subaru boxer engines and they are just down right rowdy little go carts you can take on the highway.

Here are some pics from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart you might appreciate.

Those are awesome, the kid is lobbying me for a European car trip. We had a trip to Italy planned for March of 2020, but, well, yeah that ended well. He wants to go to Goodwood (England), 24 Hours of LeMans (France) and Stuttgart all in one trip. I told him I want a 380" public land bull....but I'm not sure who's dreaming more here LOL.

The museum is not huge but really cool with changing exhibits. Since they were celebrating 60 years of Porsche in America we got in half price :) I am a bit of a nerd but the workshop (where you see the car up on a lift) really amazed me. They were working on cars and the place was as clean as an operating room :)

I wish I took better pictures in the lots, there was a group of 356s....in addition to just about everything else Porsche, it was overwhelming. This was from Jalopolink

I need to go back through old pics from PCA track days in SoCal.

Took some creative liberty with your photo, quick & dirty edit. IMG_8836.jpeg
