what it felt like to hunt. After killing my turkey this past April,I do not think I had carried anything to shoot a critter except a camera.

But going after the doves it made the senses come alive again!

Just had to state this.

Well glad you got that feeling back Nut. On the 15th I will get out for the first time.

Nut, we don't have a dove season...but we have crows that started on Aug 11. I was out there on the 11th, and just about every legal day since.
7 more days till Archery.

Friday night I am going down to where we camp and hunt to do some scouting and planning. Going to take along the Model 60 just in case a tree rat pops out.

Hopefully when the opener comes I will have a few deer to help butcher out opening night after dark.
