‘I Didn’t Vote for This’: A Revolt Against DOGE Cuts, Deep in Trump Country

I know this is a crazy idea, but democrats could run someone that doesn’t suck.
Trump won because they ran an unprincipled, unintelligent, unlikable twit that according to the 2020 primary wasn’t liked by democrats.

Trump is a horrible president-likely one of the worst ever- and he’s 100x better than her.
Agreed that Dems need to run better candidates--preferably centrists, IMO. That said, many of the people who held Harris in low esteem did so on the basis of lies spread by opponents hoping to bring her down. Of course, this knife cuts both ways. I do not believe that most Americans understand their candidates as well as they think they do, yet remain confident in their incorrect assertions. This tells me more about the quality of American voters than the quality of our candidates. With over 300 million citizens, one might expect both parties could find someone more appealing to all, but with centrists being intentionally cut out of the process that has become more difficult. The scary thing is that many Americans are OK with this. They have become so convinced of the evil nature of the "other" that they would rather burn the place down than stand on common ground.

Yup! And it's a LOT of people on both sides. You can generally tell them by their choice of news if they only watch MSNBC or Fox you know you are dealing with one that would elect satan vs. vote for the other team.
