no cigar today guys,no turkey either.I'm huinting on private property,with a retired auto mechanic friend of mine.I spent my first 15 years of hunting,hunting with him every single weekend.We are on his property.He kiiled a nice one with a 10 inch beard yesterday,but I didn't go.Anyhow,this morning I went where the turkeys were yesterday,and he went on to a completely different ridge.Naturally the turkeys were on the low back side of the ridge 2 ridges over from the one I was on,and worked around the ridge opposite him,and down into the holler.If he'd had a rifle,he would have limited out this AM.But he had a shotgun and they were out of range.He hollered at me via radio and we tried to get in front of them,but they must've went a different direction.Tomorrow I'll go back to the same place,they'll be there again one morning soon.Persistence is the name of the game.
