I am looking for a Hoyt bow. The age is not as important as the condition. Either equipped or bare.

I have a 8 year old Magna Tec now and want a backup.

If your shooting a Hoyt you wont have a need for a backup bow but if you really want one archerytalk would be another good site to check.

Brand names don't protect your bow from a fall out of a treestand, tumble off the quad, or an accidental broadhead nick on your string. I mean even Mathews fanboys have a spare back in camp,

Hunter, you can also check out the classifieds on www.Bowsite.com. I've also had good luck buying bows off of ebay. You have to be careful and know what you are looking for but there are some good deals to be had.
Having just said what I did, probably the best idea would be to go to a good pro shop and ask to try out any last years models or demo's that they haven't sold yet. Almost any shop that sells very many bows will have some overstock that they are willing to make a good deal on to get their money out of it.

That gives you the added bonus of being able to shoot it before you buy.
