Howa 6mm creedmoor project

Hello everyone,

I couldn't pass up the super deal Brownells ran over the Labor Day weekend.
$250 for a Howa barrelled action chambered in 6mm creedmoor. I'm thinking about using this as basis for a bit of project to do some DIY experimenting.

1. Try Duracoating the action and barrel
2. Get and unfinished walnut stock and finish it out
3. Attempt to do checkering on the stock

Or should I just buy a B & C stock and go shoot it?

Saw that deal, good price. Go with the first option and and have some fun with it.

Man I wish they offered left handed actions! If it were me, I'd drop that in a B&C or HS Precision stock and shoot it.

Well I couldn't stand it, I bought a Bell and Carlson stock so I can shoot it ASAP. Microfit stocks have a lead time and it would take me a while to finish it so I wouldn't get to shoot this baby for a while if I went that route. I can still do it for a fun project later on. But for right now this baby is ready to shoot.
I already have dies, bullets and powder, just waiting for the brass to show up and I'm good to go.
