What is everyone's favorite way to cook trout? We have a few in the freezer from our Yellowstone trip and we are going to try for some more that get stocked in a few lakes around here in the winter. Just wanting some ideas on how to cook them

Smoking is good. I like grilled as well, with butter, lemon pepper, whatever else suites you fancy.

Tried baked for the first time last week.
Seasoning and butter, baked on 350 for about 20 minutes.

Gut, insert thin lemon slices into body cavity, place on bed of diced onions and parboiled potatoes, wrap in aluminum foil, nestle next to the campfire for 10-15 minutes. Best accompanied with a col'beer.
