Hey dgibson

I called him last night at work and he said they had bout 13" at home and 29" just across the line.

We got a little here, but mostly just cold, it has warmed back up and is sitting at almost 40 now and it is getting fairly close to bed time...

Well, thanks for asking! Like Flipper said, we got 13-16 around here and just across the river in 1_Pointer's neck of the woods it was officially 22.3". Others got upwards of 30, by rumor anyway.

Here goes your winter storm pics. Thanks to the local road department's lack of preparedness, I spent the first 36 hours post-snow unable to reach home. So, I stayed at work and helped keep the newsroom on the air so they could tell people to stay at home (and then shove a camera in their face when they didn't). These were taken on a phone cam and therefore suck. The first pic is of my new friend Mr. Shovel, with whom I and others spent hours digging people's cars out of the parking lot:

Then there's the long hall we refer to as "The Grey Mile," which becomes as slick as snot when it's wet outside and upon which I busted my knees more than once:

Here's some...um...creative engineering I did to catch a roof leak and funnel it into a trash can below to prevent any more carpet from getting damaged:

Here's my office, otherwise known as The Dungeon, from which I commanded Technical Duct Taping Operations for the length of my stay:

As you can see, The Boss seems to like institutional grey.

Here's the sat truck, which I used on several occasions to send the same video over and over to ABC (like the federal law enforcement agencies, the various departments of ABC News do not share information):

Now, since I know Nut really wanted some nature pics, here's a quick look around my neighborhood. It's a dreary, overcast day so it's hard to get pics, but hopefully you'll get the point. First, the farm next door:

Next, a look down the hill behind my house (there really is a hill there!):

Finally, a look at a mighty oak snubbing its nose at Mother Nature and shielding its offspring from the brunt of the snow:

I'll try to get better pics if the sun ever peeks through again. ;)

Nice pics Darren...
Thanks a million....
Now we get to see how the other side lives in, the ones in the media.... ;) :D:D:D
Glad to see you around still.... :)
