Henry mag tube conversion

So, originally, this gun has the ability to load through the tube AND to load through the loading gate? Never noticed that before. I wonder why they would do that.

Henry added the side gate in the last couple years. Originally they were just tube loaded. They kept the mag tube option for ease of unloading.
