I have a line on some used Swarovski optics on an upcoming auction. The binos are listed as 10x42 and the spotter is listed as 20x60. I believe the binos are ELs based on the frame?

By the picture can you tell me rough age, which models, and what you would feel they are worth? Would it be a model you would buy?

The binoculars look like EL's to me. The spotting scope looks like an ATS model but I can't be 100% certain based on the provided picture alone.

Take the first two numerical digits of the serial number and add 1930 to them to find the year of manufacture.

Example:

First two numerical digits in serial =80 then add 1930 to determine year of manufacture being 2010.

The binos are non Swarovision EL, so prior to 2010. If in good shape, a good price is $900-$1100 or so.
the spotter looks like a20-60x80 ATS, a good price is anywhere from 1700-1900, depending on if it’s the HD model.

schism is right on how to age them.

I agree with the above. The spotter could also be an ATM based on age of the binos, same glass as ATS just magnesium body, generally about the same resale value.
