Hello from Alabama

i live on the south side of the Bankhead National Forest / Sypsey Wilderness area in the Northwest corner of Alabama. I’m an avid deer and duck hunter. I’m trying my hand at a DIY back elk hunt in Colorado in 3rd rifle season this November. Very excited and a little anxious about this hunt. Never hunted on that much land before! I love listening to podcast like Elk Talk, the backcountry hunting, the hunt backcountry, and backcountry rookies. I look forward to learning from everyone’s experiences good and bad. Maybe someone can learn from my bad decisions as well.
