Ruffed grouse found along the Bitterroot Mountains on the ID/MT state line,

This was a cool evening hunt. There had been a fire in and around the Aspen grove I liked to hunt forest grouse in, and for a few weeks that October some sharptails moved in on the fringes of the Aspens. I ended up with two blues, two ruffed grouse and two sharpies in one evening outing from the same parking spot.
