Ground blinds vs Tree Stands in Dry States

Hey guys,
I just wanted to see if any of you have had success hunting mule deer in some of the drier states (AZ, NM, UT) in Ground blinds near water holes or tree stands?

I hunt thick manzanita in S Ca.

Always hunt rifle from an elevated outcroop. Last 5 years, all deer have been 220-270 yd, one shot kills.

For archery, I find one of the few scrub oaks that will support a platform and hunt from there....no shooting lanes for a bow in the manzanita.
