Great deer season in Minnesota! Daughters first buck!

My 12 year olds third season hunting. She got a button buck for her first deer last year. This year she got a very nice 11-pointer for her first buck. Shot at last light facing her straight on at 100 yards. made a great shot with her Savage Axis .243 with Luepold Vx2 set on 6x. Federal 85 grain trophy copper ammo. This stuff prints 3/4 inch groups at 100 yards from both of our Axis rifles. And very deadly. I didn’t even see this deer till she shot and it started stumbling towards us.

My mom and I were also able to harvest a buck. And later in the week I shot a small doe for my cousins. Used my new Tikka T3x 6.5 creed this year, with VX3i 3.5-10x40 and DNZ mount. Love the gun! And the mountain tactical mag is a good addition.
