Going to be a busy Turkey season!

So far I will be starting out with a weekend hunt in SC the 1st weekend in April
2nd week of April heading to Pine Ridge SD with 3 buddys for a 4 day hunt
Then back to Md and hunt Va farms.
Should be a fast 6-7 weeks.

Your doing a guided turkey hunt on an indian reservation?

If you havent been there before be aware that is a rough place to put it lightly. We sell them 13,000 cans of beer per day just across the border in NE.

I met some guys who did a guided prairie dog hunt on the rosebud res in SD and they were dropped off with ironing boards to shoot off of and baloney sandwiches to eat and left all day by themselves. Guide was drinking when he dropped them off in the morning and was completely wasted when he came back to pick them up.

There are many better choices in SD and NE for a guided turkey hunt than a res IMO.

Wyoming I've hunted there before and have a good repor with my guide. We do a semi guided hunt. I worked over about 1000 or more acres last time out. So I'm very knowledgeable of where I'm going to be. Jeading to Pine Ridge.

Good deal Dave. Just wanted to make sure you knew about the town and what it's like if you hadn't been there before it can be a surprise to say the least, especially at night. Have fun on your trip.

I migjt take an evening trip to Sturgus. I think its about 45 minutes away.

Deadwood and Spearfish are the places to be when Sturgis isn't going on.
