GIVEAWAY!!! Caribou Gear Rifle Cover

  • Gonna try (and fail again) for a general deer tag in Utah to hunt with my brother-in-law
  • Also hoping I manage to draw a LE tag down in the Blues here in Washington
  • Otherwise, it's schlepping around here in EWA looking for a mythical 3pt or better mule deer during regular season
  • Finally, I've got a dream to try a pronghorn hunt in Wyoming, but I haven't decided if it's worth starting to buy points for that or not

Applying in Wyoming, Arizona, Colorado, Montana, South Dakota, Colorado, and Idaho

Where will I draw? Probably none of them! But I should get to help my father on a rifle deer hunt in Colorado and my wife will likely get a Montana elk tag that we will save for rifle season. When all the draws come back empty, Idaho will provide me with the opportunity to chase elk with a bow and deer with the rifle. But since I don’t have a ton of extra vacation this year, maybe I’ll draw a MSG tag…

Will apply for deer, elk, and pronghorn in Idaho. If not then OTC tags for me. I may apply out of state in Wyoming for pronghorn.

Hopefully get to reuse my game bags a couple times though.

Well no plans for anything out west, one day funds will hopefully allow.

But taking the kids out for turkey in about a week.
Fall will bring whitetails from around the area and maybe the second child will get his first deer.
Possible the oldest could try for a bear again if he has the motivation to get out there. He wants to bow hunt deer but hasn't reached the minimum draw weight yet, still has a few months to prep.

MT Sportsman License
-Bear
-Gen Deer
-Gen Elk
-Upland Bird

In the draw for MT deer, elk and antelope.

And as always M,S,G.

Man, I was SURE I was going to try burning my Colorado elk points this year… now I’m heeing and hawing.
I’ve got a good shot to draw one of the South Dakota hunts I want, and with fuel being sky high, shaving off 750-1000 miles of the trip doesn’t seem like the worst idea.
The rest of the fall will be spent chasing whitetails here at home, and my cousin’s husband has a bear tag, so I might get involved with that. My 7 year old wants to try sitting in ladder stands with us this year, so that’ll be an added element to enjoy.

Muzzy elk in Washington
Modern deer in Washington, probably a whitetail with a Kubota assist:)
Bear and Cougar in Washington, never killed either
Will apply with multiple fingers crossed for LE Utah elk
Probably applying for Wyoming antelope
Will apply for Idaho LE elk
Oh yeah, very slim chance at a Washington sheep and moose tag even with 30 points each
