Went out for a little duck hunting this morning. It was cold, snowy and windy, in other words perfect duck hunting weather. We got to the boat ramp and my buddy remembers that his camo parka is at home:rolleyes: . We scramble and dig through our bags and find him some clothes that will at least keep him warm.

We set out the decoys and right away a lone goose is locked on and headed into the decoys. Lucky for me I always load my shotgun before anything else and the first bird of the day was lone speck!!

The ducks are moving around and the very next bird comes into my side but I tell my buddy it is a suzy. Just as I say suzy, boom!! dead bird.

Anyway we managed a couple of more geese and 14 greenheads. I convinced the guys to just sit tight and pick out drakes.

I am not a big fan of tail gate pics by my buds were too cold to take a field "Hero" pic.

Nice take Nemo.

Birds were flying like crazy around here the last two days. I was unsuccessful to get on any land (0fer5) so I just scouted. Honks, ducks, snows and swans were flying every direction for several hours this morning. When the snow hit I wish I would have been in a blind cuz those birds wanted to be on the ground bad.

Any bars on that speck?

Nice work Jeff. I think I will be leaving SD friday and might make a pit stop on the way home for 1 or 2 days if there are birds around. I don't mind the tailgait pics, as long as their toungues aren't all hanging out.;)

Looking forward to more success pics from you and crew.
