Hey guys, I know there are some locals on here from up in the Peck area. I was planning on heading out on the 7th of Nov. To do some deer hunting, and looking at the weather we have a good cold front moving in. Looking at the extended forecast the 5th and 6th are single digit lows and then the rest of the week highs are hovering near 30 lows in the teens. My question is do you guys think the shores/bays will be freezing up in those temps to the point of not being able to get to shore with a boat? I would think that on that body of water it would take much more time than that but I don't really want to chance it. What a change from last year when it was pushing 70 in the afternoons the same time frame. Also any boat gurus on here, I would think as long as the jet pump stays under water while beached it will be fine, I can drain the water side of the motor in about 5 min so not worried about that freezing, but how about the throttle and steering linkages?

don't worry about it...that lake likely won't show signs of freezing until Christmas. Even on extremely cold years Thanksgiving is wishful thinking for ice formation

That's about what I was expecting to hear just wanted some
Confirmation. I plan to bring lots of "extra gear" to thaw/fix anything in the boat but would also think that the boat sitting in above freezing temp water will
Help keep things warmer than outside air temp?
