Two days later. Same spot, same conditions. Noon and still only one goose. But weather seems to be clearing. Maybe the birds will start moving. Fanned two shots at a pair that came in early. That's it. About hundred cranes are ready to land in my field ... oops not all are cranes. A family group of honkers gave my spread a quick look then off to the river. Cranes still not legal tender here in Ontario, though the farmers sure wish they were!
Finished up with three more just before end of shooting. It was a long day.
