Flat tire frustrations

Thanks Chucknduck, and others who mentioned driving a short distance on loose lug nuts. I did that in my driveway and it worked. Before putting it back on, I took Gr8bawana's suggestion and, after sanding the rust off, applied some anti-seize grease.

It's time for new tires. I got another flat Friday. I was hoping to stretch these until September and start hunting season on a new set, but that's not going to work out.

What was it that caused your flat tires? Perhaps some heavier-duty tires are in order. I only buy tires with an E load rating and have not had a flat in 14 years and three sets of BFG tires. They have a 3 ply sidewall where most others have only a 2 ply sidewall. Some people will say they ride too rough but they're on a truck, it's not supposed to ride like a luxury vehicle. They are very pricey though but piece of mind makes it worth it. That's 14 years of deer, elk, chukar and quail in some really rocky country, and towing my TT.
