IMG_8952.jpegWell, not the greatest but definitely better than I thought!!
First shots since before the surgery…15yds, 5 arrows
I had a lumbar fusion done back in early February….old USMC, rugby, football, n just plain being young n dumb injuries caught up to me.
The VA really hooked me up…my surgeon was from Italy n learned his “fusion procedure” in Australia Wrkn on rugby n Aussie Rules players.
The 1st surgery was 12hrs n the next was 2 days later n 5hrs.
I have been going to rehab M/W/F since the beginning of May at our Health and Wellness Center w the SAFD, started at home rehab through the VA 1 week after surgery.
Had my 6 month follow up last week n was released from all restrictions but told to ease into everything.
No big hunts this fall but will definitely deal with some local whitetails n piggies!
The goal is getting some Rocky Mountain High, fall of ‘27, either Idaho, Montana, or Colorado, recurve or rifle, hopefully w my grandsons (will be 9 n 15 by then)

Don't practice too much. After all, better to have the first shot good than shoot a good group.

Keep at it. I feel fortunate to have all my OE parts so far after what I did in my youth. Grandkids hunt to be had. mtmuley
