Favorite state to hunt Elks????

With all my hunting done for 2019, I'm already wearing out my GoHunt subscription researching units for 2020. I started archery elk hunting just 3 years ago and have yet to connect on a bull. Lots of really close encounters and situations that just didn't pan out, but I guess I end up in the horseshoes and hand grenades conversation. With all that being said, Ive hunted Idaho once and Arizona twice (both az hunts were not in september). All of these hunts were tremendous in there own right, just curious where peoples favorite state to hunt elk is? Thanks
