etrex Vista topo map

Anyone use Mapsource topo map to upload into thier etrex Vista? How did it work?

If you want the topos on the screen of you GPS it works good. For other mapping uses the mapsource isn't that good. I'd recommend Maptech Terrain Navigator. You can select waypoints, draw in roads, or trails and then upload them to your GPS. The mapsource can't put the topos on your GPS though.

I thought mapsource was the map software preferred or made by garmin?

My bad. Mapsource is made by garmin and that software puts topos on your GPS screen. Maptech is a better quality program but won't put topos on your screen.

I use MapSource on a couple Garmins I have at work. Works slick. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Ditto on using it on the Rino 120. They worked great for our group.

I use both the Mapsource and Maptech. The Mapsource TOPO for the maps and then the Maptech for using all my waypoints and routs etc.... Great programs for the $$$$.
I have used it on both the Vista and the Vista C which I liked much better.
