This Buck 113 with a 3 inch blade is the knife I have used for the last two elk I killed. The only one. Nothing fancy but it handled a cow without needing sharpening last year. I lightly sharpened it once halfway through this last bull, otherwise it handled all the field chores, including removal of lower legs and head. It's simple, strong, sharp and it works.
