So I have a couple questions regarding Elk hunting in the west.
Q1. Has anyone hunted Siuslaw National Forest in OR? I believe this area is public land that can be hunted with an over-the-counter tag. I'm interested to know more about he terrain, what to expect when hunting coastal ranges like this.
Q2: I live in KS... Would you drive or fly? If I fly how do I transport gear, meat, etc... without taking on a bunch of cost. I assume I would have a processor pack and ship meat? Just seems like a lot of additional cost that I could put into my gas tank.
Interested to know what some of you seasoned hunters do on these longer hunting trips.
Thanks friends!
