Elk Hunting for Grouse

This podcast really got the idea mill churning. How pervasive are blue grouse in Colorado? I'd like to do a backpack hunt just for them with longbow and handgun. Where does one start planning such a trip?

I ran into a few this year in the Laramie River valley but not enough plan a trip for. However, they were some tasty little birds.
