Ive used my big buddy at 8500 ft for days with a 20 lb tank and have had no problems with it.

I have used a big buddy heater at 10,000 ft in a pop-up where we camp for archery season and have not had any troubles. We don't run it all night. In the evenings before bed and in the morning when we get up. As one guy recommended, get a good sleeping bag. I got one from Cabela's a few years back and haven't had a cold night sleep since.

Remi Warren had an excellent article in the Spring 2015 issue of Western Hunter. " A Hunting Bum's Mobile Camp". Some awesome ideas I'm going to try.
