Eastern Plains CO 101

Anyone have any experience with Colorado unit 101, December season? Looks like really good success for the amount of huntable public ground there.

Ranchers, outfitters, and their friends are almost the entire success rate. Not sure if the one tiny SWA produces any deer or not. That IS the only accessible public land I the unit. All other state land is not open to the public.

Dumbest thing I have ever seen, thousands of acres of totally accessible state land, yet off limits. Makes absolutely no sense.

There a lot of big deer out there but unless you have private land to hunt on pretty much impossible.
