What is the maximum number of shotgun shells that can be transported thru Canada?

It is not clear whether this is only for Canadian citizens?

Also I am under the impression that 200 rounds limit, from 200 - 5,000 rounds is taxed...I am trying to find documentation about this. If true, what is the tax rate??

Hopefully this is still timely. I cross into Canada every year waterfowl hunting. We are allowed 200 rounds . Over that you may be required to pay a duty, depending on the individual border agent.
