Interesting. If applying for other species anyway, sheep is not a costly add on in many states. Most states have opoortunity to draw with no or low points accrual. I.e., Colorado buy three years of opoints are yuo can stop and still be in the draw annually for Rocky, or in draw with zero points for desert. Pony up for a few years and a guy in his 30’s can have 40+ years of draw attempt wherre yoiu ‘could’ draw. And this is just for Colo Rockies. I think what you maybe meant is you could care less about hunting sheep-which is fine.

Where in Nevada was your DBH hunt? Mine was in the Southernmost Mojave Desert, very remote, vast area of dedicated wildness. Mid-December. Days mid to high 80's, nights mid 20's.I got a desert bighorn in 2024 after being awarded the tag after someone turned the tag back in.
I was already sitting on 19 bonus points at the time. I was 62 at the time so who knows if I ever would have drawn a tag while I'm still able to hunt.
